Despite the Pen Name of Tyrion Frost, my real name is Joe (boring eh?), but you can call me whatever you want! I’m 25 years old and live in the rather small town of Port Angeles, Washington. Though it is a tiny, struggling town — you may have heard of it from the *gasp* Twilight books. The moment Twilight hit the shelves we (and forks) have become far more popular…and people..actually know us! I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing yet 🙂
Along with me being 25..and living in PA, I’ll also note that I was born with a rare birth defect which affects the strength of my bones; because of this, I am in a wheelchair. While it may be a big deal to some, I will say that for me, it isn’t all too relevant, and I hardly define myself by such a thing. In reality, my disability effects very little when it comes to my life and what I do — and while I may never be a basketball player or a mountain climber — I’m perfectly fine with it. We all have things we’re good at, and we all have things we’re not, whether that be because of who we are physically or for other reasons. There’s no point in worrying about the things we can’t do — and why should we? We should be focusing on the things we ARE good at..and the things we CAN do. So yes.. (haha!), I’m essentially like anyone else..but perhaps..abit more odd..and I quite enjoy odd!
As a 25 year old living in a rather small and some-what unexciting (though beautiful) town, I have to find things to do. Some of those things consist of reading, doing computer work, outdoor activities, and yes, writing (which truly is a passion of mine). As a writer, I am (as many) currently unpublished ..though in the future I hope to change that, assuming I ever create something I believe truly deserves it. In general, I write all the time — short stories, poetry, lyrics, reviews.. and currently I’m in the process of writing a novella, entitled “Documents of Grief.” While I absolutely love the Fantasy genre, and at the moment, it’s about all I read, I tend to write darker, more frightening pieces (I tend to gravitate toward psychological horror). I personally hope to one day write *or attempt to write* a fantasy novel as well, but first thing’s first!
Aside from writing, I absolutely LIVE on music and can’t go a day without some form of it (and I like many genre’s, ranging from metal..to neo/classical..to gothic rock..to industrial..to alternative, indie, shoegaze, and basically everything under the sun except most rap.) As well as music, I’m also slightly obsessed with candles, and have far more than I should. I seriously have too many, it’s kind of scary. Oh.. and I also quite like herbs (I grow, read, and learn about them constantly), teas, computers, reading (as stated), being artistic, wandering around aimlessly at night (love the night, especially on those cool, clear nights) ..and ..well ..more!
So yes, this rather long and clunky description was about me. Not too interesting, really..but if anyone does read it, it should give them a bit of a feel for my personality. Or atleast, I hope it does! :).
A fellow Washingtonian! You know, Joe isn’t such a plain name – Stephen King’s son is named Joe. (:
True, Joe isn’t too bad. I guess it’s just..very common. I remember having a class back in High School, where there were three other Joe’s. Needless to say, it was a bit annoying..ahah :). But yes, I am a Washingtonian! Tis’ a nice place. Thanks for your comment =]
Along with Lena, I’m another Washingtonian! Your fantasy blog is wonderful and I’ve added you to my Favorites list. Careful with all those candles:)
Hey there, and thanks for adding me to your favorites! I shal’ try to be careful with the candles..they can be dangerous (I have more than a few burn marks on a few of my shelves..:P).
I’m feeling outnumbered by Washingtonians here! though the “original” Washington is only about 80 miles from where I live in the north of England. It’s nice to meet you, Joe, and thanks for visiting my blog. I look forward to reading more of your reviews and writing.
I’m actually a bit surprised by all the Washingtonians. I guess we really like blogging 😀 .. haha. It’s nice to meet you as well, and thanks for checking out my blog/giving me your feedback!
I’ve actually been to Port Angeles (before the Twilight books were published). It’s secluded but beautiful.
Best of luck with your blog! I do a lot of fantasy book reviews too, and it looks like we have some overlap in books we’ve read.
I have never been to Port Angeles, Washington… or anywhere in USA.
I’m from the other side of the Ocean, but I’m enjoying your reviews.
Good luck and keep on!
Many thanks for the really good review you gave me a while ago. I took on board your comments and have updated the books to a second edition. There are new first chapters and a prologue in book 1, making the story far more dynamic early on. I have also had new cover artwork done. The books have also been edited so that the whole work is much more professional.
Check out the new artwork and prologue for book 1 in the above website. Thanks for the review, you are a star!

Reading your work and writing a review for it was a pleasure. Thank you for sending me a copy. I took a look at your site and the new covers, and they’re looking really great! I especially like the one for “Dragon Rider.”
The new covers are definitely more appealing than the previous ones– not to say there was anything wrong with them.
Question: Will there be a second edition of the all-in-one version? I’d personally be interested in purchasing a copy if so. I wouldn’t mind checking out the new chapters and prologue.
Thanks,
-Tyrion
Thanks for the post on my blog. Sample chapters and the prologue are on my website, http://prophecyofthekings.com/. Yes, there is a one book trilogy about to be issued. I have submitted it to Amazon so it will appear shortly.

I’ll check it out. Thanks.
